Teresa’s Tips:
Encourage your older loved ones to stay socially active (church functions, family get togethers, or just getting together with friends). Studies show that frequent social interactions help with Alzheimer's, High Blood Pressure, Depression, and even Arthritis.
Safety first! When working with a new client, one of the first things I assess is potential safety hazards. Simple precautions such as improving lighting in the home, cleaning clutter from rooms, and removing/securing scatter rugs can help prevent serious accidents.
There is a direct connection between health and hydration. The elderly tend to lose their sense of thirst as they age so encourage them to drink water throughout the day.

The Onboarding Process:
Making decisions about caring for a loved one can be a confusing and stressful time. We strive to make it easier for you by:
1. Meeting with you for a no-cost consultation to determine your needs and discuss options.
2. Having one of our Registered Nurses come to your home to assess the patient and create a customized plan of care at no cost to you.
3. We strive to match the right aide with your loved one and once this is completed, a Registered Nurse will review the specific needs of the client and the tasks that will be needed as part of their plan of care.
4. Our aides will leave comprehensive notes to inform you of daily progress and changes that you need to be aware of. In addition, our Registered Nurses will be out every 90 days to check on the client and make changes to the plan of care (if needed).
